The 2011 Sounds of Summer concert series at the Springettsbury Township Park amphitheater continues Wednesdays and Sundays through Aug. 7.
The Wednesday, July 13, concert at 7 p.m. at the amphitheater, 1501 Mount Zion Road, stars the 1910 Fruitgum Company playing a variety of 1960s favorites from classic rock to beach pop, both originals and covers. Seating is first come, first served, so bring along a lawn chair just in case. Food will be available for purchase.
Parking is available in the park?s north lot on Williams Road and south lot on Whiteford Road as well as at other businesses and organizations near the eastern entrance to the park on Williams Road ? York Art Institute, St. Onge Co., York Technical Institute and Faith Alive Community Church ? and across Mount Zion Road at the York Galleria mall.
In inclement weather, concerts may move to Central York Middle School, 1950 North Hills Road. For weather-related concert updates, call (717) 505-0406 or listen to radio stations WARM 103.3, 910 WSBA, 96.1 WSOX or ESPN 1440.
